Disrespect

I was in the store today with my 8 yr. old daughter and we were witness to the most vulgar display of disrespect I've ever seen. There was a mom & daughter shopping, the daughter between the ages of 16 & 20. The mom was looking at sunglasses and found a pair and the daughter was saying to her mom "Hurry the **** up" and " You found a pair, now let's get the **** out of here". There was alot of this type of thing going on the whole time they were in the store. My daughter asked me why that girl was talking to her mom like that & was sure the girl would get in trouble. I paid for my things, walked out & proceeded to explain to my daughter why the girl was acting like that & why she shouldn't do that to her own mother. My daughter, being 8 yrs. old, said " I love you Mommy, I would never be mean to you like that". That made me want to cry, I hope she remembers this day and the lesson I tried to teach to her.

Happy Father's Day

I want to wish all of the Fathers of world, a very Happy Father's Day !! My Grandfathers & Great-Grandfathers are all gone now, but I honor them all in my own special way. I lost my last living Grandfather on April 12, 2006. The girls & I took flowers to his grave this morning. It wasn't as hard on me as I thought it would be. "Happy Father's Day Grandpa, I miss you".

Not much happened today

Well, not much happened today. I have decided to give up my Girl Scout troop and focus on myself & my family for a while. Oh!! I did get a "new" fridge the other day. It works great!! We put the pool together today also, it sure was refreshing. I overcooked my spaghetti at dinner tonight, but for the most part, it was O.K. I didn't poison anyone!!! Ha!Ha!

My refrigerator isn't running

My refrigerator died this morning and all of my food ruined!!!!!!!!!!! This was not the way that I intended to start my day. I didn't have a cooler, so I had to drive to Wally World and buy one, then stop to get ice. I went home and started cleaning out the fridge and just let me tell you, when the fridge goes out, it doesn't take long for the food to spoil!!!! My oldest daughter was upset because the salad spoiled and my youngest was upset because her hot dogs spoiled. Well, I guess I get to go fridge shopping tomorrow, wonder if my husband will accept it as a Father's Day gift???? Hmmmm............I could be on to something!

My Pet Peeve's

This is my very first blog..........ever! I guess you could say that I am a blog virgin! Anyways, what is with all of the bad drivers out there??? I would like say to the guy speeding through the school zone and then flipping me off, " BITE ME!!!!". I wonder what he would do if that was me speeding through the school zone and running over his kid? Thank God for my kids, I homeschool them.
