Furious!!!

Well, I changed the name of my blog...........I'm sure you noticed that right away. I've been on MySpace creating my page there. The kids & I are getting ready for new homeschool year. I'm certainly looking forward to it. I have been watching the news lately and was mortified to hear that Andrea Yates was found "not guilty, by reason of insanity" for drowning her five children. It made me so angry that I will not mention anything else about!!!!!! Sorry, I need to go to bed now.........more entries later.

You, Me and Dupree

You MUST, MUST see the movie "You, Me & Dupree". My best friend & I just saw it tonight and I laughed sooooooo hard !!! I highly recommend seeing it again & again.

Unlucky Babysitter

For the past 3 days I have been helping my sister with her kids. The first day I had them, they were great, even my kids didn't fight! My sister's oldest daughter got a sewing needle stuck in her foot and I had to pull it out. That's the first aid training at work! The second day I sat at the emergency room with my sister's kids, the 2 kids that she was babysitting and my 2 kids. It seems that her youngest daughter had a piece of glass in her foot and we tried to get it out, but the little girl punched me 3 times, so I didn't get it out!! The third day was the worst!! My sister's kids were horrible to each other, they called each other names, then the boy who is 10 yrs. old decided that he no longer wanted to hear what I had to say and went POSTAL on everyone in the house. I of course am not familiar with this kind of "anger". Well, to make a long story short, I ended up with a bruised cheek, compliments of a "flying phone". Just when you thought it was safe to sit with the nieces and nephews!!!

Missing Grandpa

Being close to my family and friends has always been a big part of who I am. Last night was the annual community picnic and I was there with my two girls. We ate, played games, visited with family and friends and made some new friends. Something just didn't seem the same (I've attended this picnic every year since I can remember), someone very dear to me was not there. Sure, they had the traditional games of bingo and various kids games, there was the cake walk and raffles. I saw cousins that mistook me for my Mom, cousins that I had to ask "what's your name?" & friends from school. There was plenty of food, the band was great (not always the case), people wandered the cemetery to find their loved ones. I suddenly began to realize that Grandpa was the one that was missing and for a split second, I almost asked my Grandma where he was. This was my first picnic without Grandpa, he was not there at his usual bench, there was no hamburger before him, his place at the Bingo table was being filled by a stranger. I walked out to the cemetery with my two girls close behind, found Grandpa's grave and just stood there in silence. Grandpa, please forgive me for those times that I drove by your house and didn't stop to say hello. I wish I wouldn't have been in such a hurry to get here or there, so tonight Grandpa, I'll play your Bingo for you, I'll eat that greasy, greasy burger and I'll talk to anyone who looks remotely familiar. Love, Jessica

Quote for the month

I was put on the Earth to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now, I'm so far behind, I'll never die!!

I need a vacation!!

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to go crazy if I don't get out of this place soon!!!! I don't know how long it's been since our last vacation, but I know it's been too long!! I have a very nice place in my head to go to, but I can't guarantee that I would return back to reality. Ha!Ha!
