A Legendary Meeting

On Saturday August 26th I met the legendary Naomi Judd!! She was sweet, funny & very down-to-earth. I bought her book " Naomi's Breakthrough Guide" & she autographed it for me. There will be photos posted at a later date. She's like the next door neighbor you love to have over for tea & then sit and talk about life's ups & downs. It was wonderful meeting her!

Hooray for rain!!

Well, I've been staying on MySpace for a while and I thought that I should post something here. We are still homeschooling and everything is going good. It finally rained at my house after 2 months of hot, dry weather. Hooray!!! What little grass I had in my yard is gone! Guess what, I'm going to be going back to school, but not this semester. I'm already a Cosmetologist, but I need something more, something different. I would like to become a nurse, but I'm not sure yet. I'll keep my blog updated on everything.

Homeschool

Our homeschool got off to a great start!! The girls are excited about their schoolwork and I'm excited that they aren't constantly saying that they're bored. I solved the "I'm bored" syndrome by making an "I'm Bored" jar. I decorated the outside of the jar to look very festive and placed brightly colored pieces of paper inside. Each piece of paper has a certain activity written on it that the girls must do. Some of these include cleaning their room, painting a picture, washing the cars, writing a poem, etc.
